The Search Team has been hard at work for the past few months. We are finally happy to report that we have compiled the data gleaned from the congregational survey and incorporated all your input and our research into a profile of our church. This profile has been submitted to the UCC and ABC conferences and we have begun to receive profiles from potential candidates.
The next task we face is preparing for interviews. This means compiling questions and creating a clear picture or checklist of the characteristics that are most important to us in our new pastor. A job description will be developed by the church council.
Meanwhile, the parsonage is in the process of being inspected in order to identify any repairs needed. It looks like it will require some TLC before we welcome the special person we call to be our pastor. The condition of our parsonage speaks volumes about how we value our pastor.
